Kumo


Kumo is a social media research tool commissioned by Nintendo.
Kumo is a desktop application that searches the Internet for conversations about specific topics (like "Nintendo Wii') and displays the most important words in those conversations in a simple and intuitive way. Built on the open source development platform Processing, this tool allows us to 'see' conversations happening in real-time. Kumo is able to track topics within specific markets, in most languages. Recently, Arcade successfully conducted research for two global brands in multiple markets:
1) A comparative study for Nintendo in Singapore.
2) Market research for Toyota in India, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. Once again, Kumo delivered excellent insights across the board - including comparative studies on Toyota and their key competitors in each market.
